Frequently asked questions.
What kinds of wedding planning services do you offer?
We offer full service wedding planning, partial wedding planning, and wedding coordination/event management. We also offer wedding design and decorating, or can customize a package to fit your individual needs.
How do I know if Heirloom Weddings & Events is the right fit for me?
We can answer that question with a few of our own:
Do you want to enjoy your engagement without the stress of being buried in spreadsheets, emails and contracts; and feeling like wedding planning is taking over your life?
Do you value a smooth, and worry free wedding day where you can be immersed in the joy and excitement of the day knowing every detail is being taken care of?
Do you want a wedding design that is authentic to you as a couple, and the confidence that your vision will be brought to life thoughtfully and beautifully?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions we’re confident we could be a perfect fit. We value connection, authenticity, and a high-touch experience, creating personalized, timeless, meaningful celebrations full of memories you’ll treasure forever. We have the experience, and systems to do so in a way that feels seamless, and stress free. Call us crazy, but we believe wedding planning should be fun!
My venue requires a wedding coordinator, can you help?
Absolutely! Most premium venues in Utah require couples to have, at a minimum, a wedding coordinator on site on their wedding day. Our Essentials Coordination Service is perfect for you if you are confident in planning your wedding but need a professional to manage your day and finalize the details with your venue and vendors.
Do you offer day-of-wedding coordination?
Yes & no. We will always be onsite to coordinate your day, no matter which of our services you select. However, we understand that the final 10-12 weeks leading up to your wedding become very busy with deadlines, and decisions that need addressed in a very short period of time. For this reason we prefer to begin working with our coordination couples 10-12 weeks prior to the wedding day. This allows us to become immersed in the details of your day (for perfect execution), establish a relationship with the vendor team we’ll be managing day-of, and support you in the final weeks leading up to your big day. This ensures the most seamless experience for all.
Who will I work with?
We are a boutique wedding planning firm. This means we’re a small team offering a high level of personalized service.
If you select our Full Service Wedding Planning you’ll work directly with Marla, our owner & founder.
If you select our Guided Planning (partial), or Essentials Coordination package you will be paired with either Courtney, Marla or Amanda; depending on availability, the needs of your event, and personality.
All of our planners are exceptional and experienced. Each have assistants who work with them behind the scenes, and on event days offering additional support. We’ll match you with the wedding professional who we know will be the best fit for you & your event. You are also welcome to request the planner of your choice.
When should I hire my wedding planner or coordinator?
You should hire your wedding planner, or coordinator as early in the process as possible. We accept a limited number of weddings per month, so you’ll want to be sure to secure your date on our calendar.
By bringing us onboard early in the process we’ll be able to use our knowledge of Utah area wedding planning to help you secure the best vendors for your wedding that align with your vision, and investment level.
If you are hiring us for wedding coordination we still recommend you book us early in the process. We’ll provide you a curated list of vendors & planning resources to start you off on the right track, check in with you along the way, and be a resource to you in case you encounter any bumps on your planning journey.
